Throughout my four years at Piner, the teachers at Piner have been very enthusiastic and passionate about their jobs and they are all extremely helpful and motivating. What I like about Piner is that they have set programs to ensure a successful future for all different types of students. A program Piner has is STEM which gives students the opportunity to explore different stem career options and participate in STEM related activities. Piner has also installed career pathways embedded in some elective classes such as Culinary and HSB (Health, science, and biotechnology). Piner also has a College and Career center where students can find information on anything college related. The advisor in the college and career center does many presentations on college requirements and hosts presentations from college representatives. What I wish would change about Piner is the math department by getting better math teachers who focus on getting students to think outside the box.

Piner high school has a great environment because of the people who make it a welcoming place. Sports are very popular in the school because of how much people love going to games and supporting the team. Not only is the school spirited but it also is very diverse. The school is scattered with different ethnicities and races. In addition, the school is very supportive in academics because it is a strong STEM magnet revolved school. Piner is equipped with many extracurricular activities so students can become more involved in activities other than academics. For example, Key Club, SSA, French Club, Asian Club, Latino Club, GSA Club, Feminism Club, Gaming Club, Dance Club, and other clubs that students have come together to develop. Overall, the high school is a well balanced community that brings academics, student recognition, involvement, and individualism to attention.
Piner was a great high school. It has many great programs and pathways for students to take. From the Early College Magnent Program, which is a dual enrollment program that allows Juniors and Seniors to take classes at the local Junior college, to Health Science and Biotechonolgy, this is a three year pathway for students who are interested in the medical field. With my four years at Piner I would say that many of the teachers who I had were very dedicated to their job and wanted all of their students to succeed and to graduate. The administration is a fabulous team who is so dedicated to their students and to make the school have a welcoming feeling.
