Being a student here at Pine View High was an amazing experience. You see so many shows all over the tv/internet about dreary high schools with bullying and graffiti, but Pine View is the exact opposite. Everyone knows each other and everyone cares for each other, basic compassion isn't something that's scarce here. Furthermore the staff is amazing and many of them connect on a personal level to their students, which makes the learning experience so much easier! There's students here who have befriended their teachers, and that is just the sweetest thing! Learning here is a privilege that I hope upcoming high schoolers will enjoy! The school offers a variety of programs that cater to all sorts of personalities! I feel really safe here in the way that I'm in no way worried about being cheated out of an education.
Growing up, I was never sure how the highschool experience would really be like. Would I face hallway bullies, witness cafeteria food fights, or would the teachers be the death of me? The reality is, none of it! Highschool life has been pretty darn good. I really do like the teachers here, I think they're really kind and helpful folks. I've really been able to expand on the skills I want to use in the future. Specifially, my artistic abilities. I look forward to most of my classes- I say most because I simply do not enjoy math or physics haha. Overall, it's a nice school. The interior could use an update, this school is pretty old afterall.
Pine View High School is full of school spirit and caring teachers. I was able to be involved in many clubs and activities throughout high school and maintained a 4.0 GPA. One of my favorite things about PVHS is the diversity and their compassion they have for each other. Every year we have Mr. PVHS where the student body fundraises for a child with a disease or disability and all the proceeds go towards the child’s medical bills. This year we raised over $50,000!
