All students receive iPads, so that’s really nice. Academics are challenging, and students are highly competitive with one another. Pine Creek attracts very affluent students, so this socioeconomic background makes up the majority of the population here. Additionally, football is huge and widely recognized by administration, meaning that any other sport/activity gets almost nothing. Students are also pushed very hard to take AP tests - the focus is not on the family/teacher decision about whether the student would do well, but rather about Pine Creek’s reputation. Schedules are also incredibly difficult to change, as administration really discourages it. The website says there is a gifted program, but there isn’t. The gifted program is defined as the opportunity to take honors/AP classes and to go on field trips/activities - however, any student can participate in the same activity a gifted student can, meaning there is essentially no gifted program.

My experience at Pinecreek Highschool was both amazing and difficult. It definitely got me ready for college yet there were some things I was very confused about. The sports is so much fun and you get to meet so many different people ! The academics were hard and some teachers did not teach the best, but it is a great school and a very fun environment!
The only good thing Pine Creek High School has to offer to the students is football, other than that it is not a great school unless you are white. If you are a minority, you will feel separated from the student body and feel as if you have to make your own. Pine Creek has had problems with racists before. Some bring in Confederate flags and say extremely racist things towards African Americans, first generation Africans, and Indians in the school. There is barely any school spirit, people just do whatever they can to be accepted which often means rejecting school pride. Some teachers often fall into the category of racists which is quite disappointing. Overall, Pine Creek is a good school for sports and students who love to complain.
