Overall the school offers privileges most don't. The school lacks any sort of resources, and uses them to encourage the students to improve their academics. However, the culture lacks, since it is a combination of middle and high school. The difference is that most don't really know when high school starts, so challenges don't begin until later in their high school career. Because of this, most of high school isn't seen as serious until we are applying to these types of scholarships and other college related activities.
I was a Student at Pierson Middle/ Highs School. Overall it was a great school, It was small compared to other schools but it wasn't so bad. The best part of my experience in this school was the school trips and the friends I made with my peers and my teachers. The worst part of my experience was getting in trouble for the smallest things that wouldn't really effect anyone.
The class sizes are very small so there is a lot of close interaction with teachers. However, in my opinion, there is too much emphasis on sports and not enough on music and the arts.
