I had a pleasant experience in Piedmont High School. I loved the community most. One great example is DUCK week. It stands for "Doing Unselfish Charities for Kids" and it is just that. It's a week of fundraising for people in the community that need help, usually because of an illness. Everyone comes together and works so hard to raise money, and it's a lot of fun too. I graduated already, but my sisters are still in school there. They love it as much as I did.

One thing that I would like to see change is the teacher pay, but that is not unique to this school. Teachers are so important and they should be treated like it! We would have more good ones in our public schools in Oklahoma if we paid them more.

After two short high school years, I am striving through my junior year. Although Piedmont High School is a small school, it has many unique qualities. Furthermore, there is an opportunity for success for those who are willing to utilize it. The High School is being reconstructed into a modern building with a second floor on the way. Piedmont is also well known for its original "Duck Week". In this week, the town selects a couple of families that are dealing with financial struggles whether it be regards to (medical reasons, death, etc.), and they create a week full of activities to raise money for the cause. Throughout all these years, they have raised a total of 1 million dollars. Even though Piedmont is a small town, the love and support they have for the co makes all the difference. Overall, my high school journey has been entertaining and I am grateful for all there is to come.
Piedmont Highschool is and forever will be my hometown. I love it because the people that are all nice and always willing to help . However, there are times where we wouldn’t have access to a class because the school doesn’t provide it. It’s lack of r variety in classes is probably its downside. Next would be the Cafeteria. It’s honestly not a good place to eat but while we are construction, we don’t have a choice. Even though these were two faults of PHs, I can’t emphasize enough how much the school spirit, close-knit community, and long lasting relationships are developed because of the members of PHS.
