Going to Andover was something I was very excited about for a very long time, but unfortunately, the campus and experience are not at all as they appear on PA's well-crafted campaigns. Dorm culture is highly variable and often makes/breaks ones entire experience at Andover. Students are aggressive in their competitive nature, and often times the campus culture can become hostile and anxiety-inducing. Health programs don't properly address mental health, and at an institution as difficult and fast-paced as PA, it's harmful. After graduating, everything looks great (it's one of the best parts of nostalgia) but ultimately, I left with just another bullet point on my resume and four years of my life full of unhappiness.

The most incredible environment to prepare young people to think outside of the box, learn to challenge themselves mentally, physically and emotionally. An amazing place to develop lasting friendships with people from across the globe — different backgrounds and cultures... and enjoying a special bond through your time and experiences at Andover, and beyond.

Andover teaches you so many life skills, that become more evident how useful they are the more you experience what gets thrown your way...college, business, challenges and opportunities.

Andover is the greatest investment in oneself and one’s education you could ever offer.
Overall my experience at Phillips Academy has been very rewarding. It is an elite boarding school that has the resources that many schools do not have. There are a variety of opportunities to explore in addition to the rigorous and extensive academic curriculum. Socially it is a very diverse place in a number of ways including race, gender, sexual orientation, and economic class.
