Phillips Academy bases itself on the most rigorous academics, yet still maintains a friendly, supportive, and cooperative environment. Not only have I gained so much from each of my classes, but I've met incredible friends and great teachers. The athletic program has allowed me to try new sports and find something I am good at, while still allowing me time to pursue my other extra-curricular interests. The school very much enjoys innovation, introducing a new all-gendered housing plan for next year. However, sometimes they get too excited about a new idea, and don't put quite enough thought into its effects on the community should it be implemented. This, however, is my single complaint for a school that is, in my opinion, second to none.

Everyone here is so incredibly passionate about their work and committed to being part of a welcoming, intellectual community. I take great pride in my school and home!
As a new lower (transfer student into sophomore year), I felt the transition into boarding school difficult but also exhilarating. My favorite memories and best friends are all due to PA. The teachers are beyond qualified and part of the campus community. I think that the hundreds of course options and clubs and diversity within the faculty allow students to personalize their time at PA.
