Andover truly is a special place! The opportunities for learning within the self are endless. I have adopted a true growth mindset at this community, learned from my peers, which represent youth from every quarter. This community is equitable, kind, generous, and truly incredible. My teachers believe in my potential to succeed. #SayYesToAndover #BigBlueNice #WelcomeHome #SmartWithHeart
Review Phillips Academy
The people here are amazing! After I graduate I know it's this community I'm truly going to miss the most. Besides just the people, students here have the most amazing opportunities- like our Abbot Grants and various club offerings. Phillips Academy truly gives students the space to grow.
Phillips Academy bases itself on the most rigorous academics, yet still maintains a friendly, supportive, and cooperative environment. Not only have I gained so much from each of my classes, but I've met incredible friends and great teachers. The athletic program has allowed me to try new sports and find something I am good at, while still allowing me time to pursue my other extra-curricular interests. The school very much enjoys innovation, introducing a new all-gendered housing plan for next year. However, sometimes they get too excited about a new idea, and don't put quite enough thought into its effects on the community should it be implemented. This, however, is my single complaint for a school that is, in my opinion, second to none.
