Phillip O. Berry is currently a journey for me. It had its very bumpy moments however. Being a senior at the school, I do have a lot to explain about my school. The academics were very pleasing to deal with in the past, but now, the academics have dropped a bit for its standards. The teachers are going through the same situation, where there were many teachers that were well beloved, but now some of the old teachers have left, some have stayed, and many new teachers have came in. The school is a STEM school, but the school excels proficiently in arts, especially with the awesome marching band. The admins will always be the best that I have ever encountered in high school, despite the new counselors and some new changes not being informed to the students. Overall, Phillip O. Berry can be a very new and bright environment with a diverse culture, having the school spirit being one of the students' most important factor in school. The school is great for what they offer still!

My experiences with P.O.B were extraordinary! A lot of the staff is very caring towards the students and prepare excellent and engaging lessons for every student to be involved. They all have a very unique style of teaching and it is a wonderful environment where even the students prevent bullying. There is hardly any drama and the overall in school community is in very immaculate condition. The only changes I would ever think of making is maybe the food but that goes with all schools and of course there’s no changing that. Otherwise, I find the school quite charming.
Teachers: Incredibly hit or miss. I’ve had some of the most caring, wonderful people as teachers and they’ve really changed my life (Ms.Collins, Mr.Ames, Ms.Jacks etc.) and then I’ve had some teachers who I know truly didn’t care about us at all. Admin hates all the teachers we like.
Clubs and activities: we have tons of them! But only a few that administration actually cares about. If you’re not in Student Council, NHS, HOSA, or NSBE, your club probably doesn’t matter.
Administration : the worst thing about Phillip O Berry. They are NEVER on the same page. You can ask 5 different administrators the same question and get 5 completely different answers. There is no communication or trust between administration and teachers which leaves the students stuck in the middle and screwed over. Admin at berry needs to be redone or we will quickly become another West Meck.
Resources:the library sucks and we can barely use it due to the CMS tech people on the floor under us.
