Philadelphia Academy Charter High School is an average school. It lacks diversity and culture. In my opinion the school is very naive, no metal detectors to enter the school, no student ID. You can literally just walk in on your own during the morning time. The school is very small, not many know about it. Which is good when it comes to the classroom size being small and more intimate. Because of the small population of the school, it doesn't have too many electives/extra curricular activities to explore. The teachers are pretty average, like any school you have a few teacher that genuinely has a love for their students and their crafts. It's better than a public school, but not the best for a "charter" school.

My experience as a senior is great. I have great teacher support and enjoy the interaction with every class lesson. I believe that senior year is key for college readiness and also having that teacher student bond, being able to approach your teacher for any small or big question that you may have. I believe that every student should create a bond that is comfortable to their own with their teacher to make it a prosperous one . I believe that I am ready to face the new challenge and challenges that are to come. Work hard and Never give up!
A small school in a big city. The staff were enthusiastic to teach and some were even inspiring but the school was always missing something. It never felt like a real high school. Every student could say it as well, we finished without having the real "high school experience". There was 0 school spirit, I mean 0. I played soccer all 4 years and have only seen close friends and parents at our games, even basketball games had at most 10 fans attending. also not a college prep school so keep that in mind, i think it had an effect my freshman year of college.
