I could not have been happier to have gone to Pewaukee High School. They not only have teachers who push for success in the classroom, they stress the importance of being a positive citizen. At PHS there are plenty of volunteer opportunities as well as clubs and sports to join all of which are active in the community. The school has won many awards for its achievement yet its greatest recognition comes from the positive words of the students who return there are remain a part of the schools family for many years to come. My families decision to enroll me in the Pewaukee Schools, was the greatest decision our household has ever made.
Review Pewaukee High School
Pewaukee High School does a great effort to ensure the academic success for all its students. Something I personally feel the school needs to work on is helping and assisting it's students mental health related issues. I went through a major depression my first two years. Throughout I tried desperately to get help through the school's guidance office. However, they were extremely unhelpful. The counselors told me basically I needed to improve my grades. At times they even accused me of lying about my issues and doing it to simply miss class. Not only was this offensive, but triggered my problems to become worse. I became suicide twice throughout those two years, was hospitalized for 72 hours, and still didn't get help. I had to do that all on my own, which is extremely rough. If there's one major thing Pewaukee High School needs to improve on, it's their guidance department.
I enjoyed a majority of my classes -- in both pace and coverage -- as well as my teachers, who were always dependable and encouraging. There were a wide variety of great extracurriculars, and I never felt in danger at school.

The most major issue for me was the transitioning of the grading system. Although the transition was mandatory, I felt that execution could be improved especially in correlating the new proficiency system with the previous percentage-based one.
