Genuinely horrible experience. The teachers were good, and the students here were fun, but it's pretty much the academics here that will make your year(s) here limbo (if you're someone who's pretty disorganized, not someone who excels in every subject possible, etc). There's no such thing as A-Day and B-Day here (meaning you have half your classes one day and the other half the next), which means you have most of your classes every day (english and history was taught by the same teacher in the same period, and the same went for math and science), so that makes the schedule very wonky, and there's always a truckload of homework on your head. And also the classes taken most days include PE, and there's no (so called "ugly") PE uniforms, which means that you have to always come to school wearing ugly spandex. The only part of this limbo school that were great (to me at least) were the electives (you can have two instead of 1!), and you only have those 3 times a week!
PACS was the best option for our child, who needed an advanced learning environment yet a small school. The teachers communicate frequently and timely to provide support and feedback. A lot is expected of the students, but with that our child had no problem testing into high school honors courses and is more than ready for high school. We have been so pleased with how Distance Learning and Hybrid were handled. The school clearly put its heart into making learning possible during a trying time. Thank you!
Amazing school for kids who want a challenging and rigorous education! My student was beyond ready for honors courses in high school. Kids get one-to-one help daily from teachers who are passionate about their classes. The classrooms are current with technology and provide several STEAM elective choices.
