Very conservative. I love the staff, but don’t like some of the students. It’s a nice and average sized community, with the biggest class I’ve ever had being 27. The teachers are lovely and helpful (most of the time). There are many opportunities with colleges, and there is a required class that takes you on college visits. It’s a pretty good school, although due to the area it’s in and me being LGBT+, there are some issues. But, there is a surprisingly large underground LGBT+ community. Go figure.
Perry-Lecompton has really shown me how to become a good person throughout my whole career. By pushing us to get better grades, be involved with the school, or simply interact with everyone. Overall, it has started the stepping stones for my success. PLHS has been an amazing school district and area to grow up in.
I love this school because the teachers are patient, helpful, and invested. They will go out of their way to help students and put extra time in working with students outside of school. They truly care about the education and well being of their students. The staff at the school knows how to make students feel safe, heard, and cared for.
