I believe that the principle, Dan Serrano does an excellent job running this school. The teachers and staff truly pour into their students. One of my favorite parts about Perry is that they care about the arts. Many schools put all of their funding into athletics, but Perry cares about theatre, band, choir and the whole arts department. I had the chance to play Fiona in the school musical "Shrek" and it was the most incredible experience ever! It is something I will forever be thankful for.
I loved everything about Perry. I truly could not have gone to a better school and this pandemic has only proved that further. All of the staff genuinely care about the students and I wouldn’t trade my time there for the world. I found friends in security guards, counselors, teachers, coaches, and more. They all cared about my life in and out of school and were willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to see me succeed. They offer so many opportunities to learn and grow whether it’s 5:30 am or after school on a Friday, you’re guaranteed to find some support through tutoring around the corner. Of course there will always be the classic high school drama, but I found that all my teachers loved to hear about it and help in anyway they could. I love Perry High School and I will forever be proud to be a puma!
Great school! Most teachers are qualified and treat the students well. This is a great place to go for the STEM program, but most of the Honors/AP/Duel Enrollment classes required are very rigorous and challenging.
