PiM is an amazing school where students can find their voice amongst a community of creatives. Whether you are a college bound in your art area or looking to grow and expand your creative output, PiM provides the training and environment where students grow. I have yet to see a motivated student who has not been pushed to grow as a thinker and problem solver. Students have so many opportunities to present their art through gallery or performance. This is a place that can change your life if you let it!
An excellent space for a young artist to get an honest sense of what it's like to work in the arts. This education put me leaps and bounds ahead of my college peers in terms of my arts experiences and skill set. From my high school arts experience, I gained more than some gain even after a full collegiate program. I am very appreciate of the jump start Main Street/ PiM gave me.
It's high school, so it isn't going to be perfect for anyone, but the appreciation for the arts, acceptance of queer students, mental health resources, performance opportunities, and artistic diversity at PiM makes highschool almost tolerable.
