This school is an open-minded, ahead of its time performing arts school. There is a diverse population of students, staff, and administration. Both the arts and academic areas of the school are challenging, yet enjoyable. The teachers are willing to stay after school or come in early to help and there are almost always plenty of students ready to put together a study group for a class. People here want to learn and the environment is serious, yet extremely welcoming and tons of fun!

Main Street School of Performing Arts has helped me grow and blossom as an artist and as a person. The teachers are so helpful and encouraging and I always feel like I can talk to them. I go to school everyday knowing that there is always more to learn, and more to improve on and I can't wait to get to class. I love how many different types of people go to my school and how the culture of our school preaches the unconditional love of others and acceptance of those different than you. You can always learn from people that are different than you, and you should!
At Main Street School of Performing Arts, you wish there were more days in the week so that you could participate in every club ever offered. To name a few clubs and organizations: GSA, PodSquad (creates podcasts during school events and field trips), National Honors Society, National Dance Honors Society, Fit Club, Student Government, Main Street Ambassadors, Geek's Club, Dance Company, Block 5 Ensemble, Main Street Actors Guild, Speech Team, Ultimate Frisbee, and so many more!

All of these clubs take place before school, after school, or during Homeroom. The clubs range from extremely serious community building and volunteering clubs, to playing Pokémon after school with a group of friends. Each club has at least 10 or more participants and most meet once a week, but manage to participate in volunteer activities multiple times a month. No club is ever turned down or rejected, and as long as you have a teacher supervising it, the sky is the limit.

In addition to clubs, each and every teacher is available either before school or after school to help out with homework. Most are available 3 times a week, and some are available more often than that. They will let you know when they are available for homework help and the beginning of the year, and they will stay as long as possible after school to help a student out.
