I enjoyed completing my last years of high school on Penn Foster. I really appreciated the work at your own pace schedule since I struggle with mental health. The lessons were easy, but on the rather lengthy side than say, a public school. Great tuition! Finding a low cost school was especially hard in my area, but they made it possible for me. Thanks to Penn Foster, I have a chance at a career! I highly reccomend them.
I had a wonderful experience with Penn Foster High School. I liked the fact it was a self-paced program. Since it was, I was able to go about my day-to-day life without worrying about an assignment being turned in late. I was also able to take the time to study instead of rushing. The stuff I was learning about was in complete detail and very thorough. The assignments also went along with everything I was learning about. It made sense and made it easier to understand what I was learning about. I wouldn't change a thing about this program as it is great the way it is. And to anyone looking for a great home school program, this is definitely it! I highly recommend it!
Story Time: After a traumatizing encounter with a teacher in my 11th year i developed severe social anxiety in the presence of teachers, so I did online for my senior year. If you're looking for the senior year experience like prom, pep rallies, etc, you may not be super happy. I didn't care much for walking across a stage for graduation and my primary concern was simply to graduate, but if you feel like you'd be missing out, rethink doing online. This may be hard to believe, but my GPA went from a 1.8 to a 4.0. Yeah, insane. I graduated May 30th, 2020. The freedom to take the pace i needed without teachers breathing down my neck relieved my stress exponentially, which was what was getting in my way at regular public school. If you think you'd have a problem with self-motivation and procrastination, your biggest setback may be slacking off due to lack of deadlines, but at the end of the day, really reflect on your abilities and do what's right for you. You're gonna be okay. Fighting!
