As with most private schools, what you're paying for is the environment: a culture of high expectations and support and academic rigor. You can't argue with a 100% college acceptance rate, with a good percentage of those acceptances being to the best schools in Virginia and beyond.
But beyond being a place where a kid can get a great education and be set up for success for the rest of his or her life, what impresses me the most is just how kind, polite, and impressive the students are. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the local private schools took turns outscoring each other in sports and SAT scores etc (although PC frequently comes out on top in those categories as well); but one thing I'd bet good money on is that PC outshines all the competition in terms of providing an environment where every kid feels like part of a family and is taught compassion, kindness, acceptance, and to be the best version of him/herself on a a daily basis.

Before attending Peninsula Catholic High school, I came from a high school of eighteen. The education was not great and the facilities were not up to date. I also knew that when college came around, I would not be ready in my academics. But upon entering into PC, my academics began to skyrocket and I was on track and ready for my future. The teachers and staff are amazing, and we have some fo the best guidance counselors out there who are willing to help you at any time. Our school is also a very diverse community, we have good facilities, and amazing teachers.
I really enjoyed Peninsula Catholic as a whole and all of my five years there. I went to Peninsula Catholic from 8th grade to 12th grade and participated in many events and maintained a good GPA. Socially the school makes a real effort to make sure everyone is involved and has a place where they feel completerble to be their true selves. Some people may have qualms with a Catholic or private high school but it is a really great atmosphere for non-Catholic and even non religious people. The teachers pay true attention to the students grades and struggles and you can get a lot of one on one time when you have help. Overall though there were a couple things that PC didn't do well or that they could have done better they were a great school for me and my family.
