As a student, I enjoyed the experiences that Pembroke gave me through it's education and positive environment. I formed many meaningful relationships, and feel ready to go on to college.
Pembroke is a small school, I had about 60 students in my graduating class. It's small and friendly so to a degree everybody knows everybody and it's very safe. Scheduling can be difficult, there's always conflicts if you want to take multiple APs or electives (I couldn't take AP Music Theory and AP Language because they were both only offered the same period). The music department is great.
Pembroke was a great school to go to and I enjoyed certain aspects of it. They had some good things but some lack of others.
I have attended Pembroke my entire life. This school is like my home. The teachers are very supportive in both academics and personal matters. Our school has an extra class at the end of the day so that teachers can stay after with students to help them. Pembroke has a lot of sport teams, and very good equipment for these sports. They supply every student with chromebooks for classes as well. However, I would like to see the diversity in the school change. The majority of our school is caucasian, and it would be beneficial for students to experience other cultures and see life in the perspective of others. Overall Pembroke is an amazing school and I am so happy I had the opportunity to attend this school.
Its a very small school, but there are some great opportunities here. You get to know teachers very well. There are college level courses here that should be taken advantag of. Overall it is a great place to be.
It was alright but the discipline needs to be equal. Most teachers were pleasant to me, the art department is very diverse and has been successful. The school is safe and has had little to no intrusion. The classes were small at max 80 students. I would recommend this as a pleasant place for children to experience their learning. In my grade school years out school received a blue ribbon award for how well they performed and the experience in the school year.
At Pembroke High School the teachers are willing to do anything for you. Our teachers set the bar high for our students no matter who it is. They help the student as much as they need to reach their max potential.
Pembroke is definitely a rural town. Due to lack of enrollment, Pembroke struggles to improve its technology and resources available to students. Although I have had many positive interactions with peers and teachers here, rarely do I have an opportunity to brag about the quality of education I have received. I would like to see the diversity in my school increase, and have more qualified teachers be hired. I would love to see the future generations of Pembroke students be more prepared for college and life outside of high school.
I personally enjoyed the school because the staff had been very accommodating. They were willing to listen and allow me to participate in higher level courses outside of the school with a greater freedom than other high schools in the general area.
I love going to Pembroke! Most of the teachers are amazing and well versed in the subjects they teach, and they engage the students. The clubs are supervised by teachers who want to advance that club, and there is a decent amount of clubs to choose from. The music department is outstanding and one of my favorite things about the school, the teachers are phenomenal and they genuinely care about their students, and their education.
What I liked about Pembroke was that there were so many chances to get involved with things whether it was clubs and orgs, sports, or volunteering.
Overall, Pembroke provided ample opportunities for students to get involved and improve in different skilled areas. It was ultimately up to the student to decide what they wanted to do and how involved they wanted to be. Although it was a small district, there was a variety of sports, clubs and AP classes offered. Most teachers and faculty looked to help students improve in whatever way possible. Pembroke continually looked to improve itself and attempted to fix any faults or problems that arised.
At Pembroke, there are a variety of clubs and sports to be associated with however we mainly have the most basics of these activities such as football, basketball, and baseball, and music and art clubs. There are a variety of other clubs and sports to be offered however with such a small student count it is understandable as to why there is a limit on these activities.
At Pembroke High School, there are only a limited amount of teachers who go out of their way to benefit the success of their students. These teachers will ask "What more can I do to help you succeed in this class?" The teachers will even prepare extra study packets and examples of work in their free time to help students before tests. These teachers will listen to our concerns and alter their teaching to the benefit of the students
Good with teaching safety, as well as healthy choices and decision making.
A lot of opportunities to participate in after school activities and extracurriculars, plus the school makes it easy to get involved.
Favorite experiences would be playing football and baseball for the school, along with participation in ski club through the winter season.
