Not a good school. Rarely is there a good teacher who is engaged with their students. Counselling is a mess and they do not help you whatsoever. While there are good students in the school, a majority are very toxic. As a student who was enrolled in the first Dual-Enrollment program here, it's a mess. The college teacher I had for one of my classes never kept up with our grades, plus he 'lost' our papers. As for my other college teacher, he was great. The school doesn't offer a lot of AP Classes, but if you want to take one, AP US History should not be one. The teacher is terrible, yells at his students and does not help/engage them in the lessons. The school is bad at displaying the Fine Arts Dept. They say they show off their Fine Arts Department, which is band. Yeah they showcase Orchestra and Choir. But they never showcase artwork that students put their time into. Overall, I have not enjoyed my experience here. If I had a choice, I would've gone to Lexington or River Bluff.

I have had a great experience at Pelion High, I like the fact that the school is in a small town and there is only a small amount of people so you get more one on one time with the teachers. If I could change anything about the school it would definitely be the lunches!
Pelion High is such a great environment, friendly teachers and staff, great students, and great curriculum. This was a great high school to attend and I enjoyed every minute of being there. To top off my experience i was in the colorguard and marching band for five years and that was the best school program I've ever participated in. If i could change something it would be to give the marching band more credit they bust their butts to perform and they work so hard.
