Pelham Park Middle is truly a great school! We have variety of sports, but I would like to see more clubs and activities for people who don't want to practice at least 4 days a week and be screamed at by coaches. Don't get me wrong, some coaches are very kind, but some need an attitude improvement. P.E. is supposed to be good physical education, but all the coaches do is sit around and tell us to get moving when we don't even understand the game. So, yes, plenty of room for improvement in P.E.. The majority of teachers are very kind and do very well teaching their subjects, but I would like to learn why the math works, not just the correct formula. In 8th grade, we have to take career prep, which makes no sense. The food is better than the elementary schools, but only by a bit. Multiple times, my food has been under cooked and/or the bread is hard.
This school is a great school for academics! It has a big variety of sports including, football, soccer, dance, track, etc. It is a very organized school and it is very important to the administration when it comes to safety. The teachers are very understanding and always tell their students to ask for help if needed. This school always welcomes new people and wants to make them feel included.
I think Pelham Park Middle is great school to attend! The school has a wide variety of classes you can choose from which helps make classes enjoyable. The teachers take care of every student, making sure they get the education they need. The school staff is so nice and does everything to their ability to keep Pelham Park up and running.
