I really liked that Pecatonica High School is a small school, which allowed me to play multiple sports. I also liked that I was able to go in and talk to my teachers at any time, and they got to know us on a personal level, which showed that they cared. They were always willing to help whenever I had questions. Because the school is small, I know the administration well, and they are always pushing us to do our best and be as prepared for college as possible. One thing I wish Pecatonica High School offered was more elective class choices. I would have liked to have an opportunity to take classes teaching us some basic life skills, such as cooking, paying bills, and managing money.
Pecatonica High School is a great high school! I've been in the Pecatonica school system since Kindergarten and it has shaped me positively.
So safe and everyone knows everyone. Teachers make sure you are learning and will go above and beyond for their students it the are struggling. They made sure I was prepared before going to a university. I can honestly say that grades 1-12 were some of my best years. Course work definitely pushes the students but there is always help. Quick shout out to Ms. Wilcox, Mr. White, Mrs. Danko and Mrs. Shrader!
