This is a great school to attend! Peachtree is very uniquely designed school. This is one of the only schools to be on block schedule, this is important because it prepares you for college. Also, the school is very diverse, you can meet students from all over the world and learn a lot from them. The teachers at this school work extremely hard for students to become successful, they allow after school help, during lunch, during their planning period and before school help for all students.

I transferred into PRHS my sophomore year of high school from a different school district. The school I attended freshman year was much smaller and had a limited variety of course options compared to Peachtree Ridge. The Staff at PRHS invested deeply in trying their best to ensure that each individual student was exposed to as many accademic oppertunities as possible. They advocated for students to pursue the STEM and SPIRE ( chemistry and physics based programs) offered at our school as well as to challenge themselves to take honors/ pre-AP, AP, or dual enrollment courses.

Our athletic programs were also very good as well, additionally a wide variety of clubs and extracurricular were offered from NJROTC to HOSA, NHS, and even Anime Club. Personally I was involved in Habitat for humanity, JROTC, HOSA- as well as being a dual enrollment student, AP student and being a part of the Maxwell High School of Technology Allied Health program.
Peachtree Ridge was a new school for me. On first day, I was so scared that I won't make any new friends. I was shy to speak, surprisingly, people came up to me and introduce themselves. That was how I met my first group of friends. The school is very diverse, we have a population of every race in our school, this is something that hardly sees in most of Georgia high school. Also, my Orchestra teacher helped me when I was lost in hallways, even Seniors took me to the class. I am very thankful. I knew teachers along with other faculty was there for me. I feel safe in this new home, everyone is accepting me. Our school also have good sportsmanship and every students have the equal opportunity to achieve goals. Most teacher was there after and before school to help students, giving us the best environment to learn. Our principle Dr. Mathews gives out encouraging messages every morning, believe that we are all unique young people; one day, we will be successful. Go Lions!
