Peachtree Ridge was a new school for me. On first day, I was so scared that I won't make any new friends. I was shy to speak, surprisingly, people came up to me and introduce themselves. That was how I met my first group of friends. The school is very diverse, we have a population of every race in our school, this is something that hardly sees in most of Georgia high school. Also, my Orchestra teacher helped me when I was lost in hallways, even Seniors took me to the class. I am very thankful. I knew teachers along with other faculty was there for me. I feel safe in this new home, everyone is accepting me. Our school also have good sportsmanship and every students have the equal opportunity to achieve goals. Most teacher was there after and before school to help students, giving us the best environment to learn. Our principle Dr. Mathews gives out encouraging messages every morning, believe that we are all unique young people; one day, we will be successful. Go Lions!

Peachtree Ridge is an excellent school that focuses on fostering a "Standard of Excellence" within all of its students, whether that pertains to athletics, academics, or performance in fine arts. The teachers and administrators always try to bring out the best in their students and discuss the material in a manner that is both exciting and engaging, and most have hours after school in which they spend time supervising clubs, attending meetings, or providing extra learning time for students. Teachers of AP classes are also very dedicated in bringing out the best traits in their students and encourage their students to excel in their courses. The diversity in the school is also a major positive aspect and plays into the school's culture and pride. Students will easily find their own group of friends at the Ridge, whether it be within the classroom or after school in clubs.
I enjoyed this year at Peachtree Ridge High School, with the academic resources and outstanding work of the teachers, I was able to achieve receiving straight A’s. The year has taught me punctuality and responsibility through course work and extracurricular activities. I enjoyed being apart of Yearbook and having the ability to express my creativity through the form of journalism and photography. I have also enjoyed furthering my understanding of the grammatical side of the Spanish language, by going on to Spanish 3, I have diversified my conversational speaking by including many different forms of tenses, such as future, conditional, commands, and preterite/imperfect. This year at Peachtree Ridge was unforgettable and I commend the work of the faculty and staff.
