Peachtree Ridge's dedication and standard of excellence is what makes one proud to be a lion. Teachers are seem to care about students' success and are doing a great job, especially in these adverse circumstances. The teachers have inspired me to be the best version of myself, and so did my peers. The fine arts programs at the school are amazing and are an opportunity to bond with fellow students. One thing that could be better is the traffic though. It was really bad before the pandemic. Overall, PRHS has provided me with various experiences that have enriched my mind for when I go off into the real world. Go lions!
Peachtree Ridge High School is very culturally diverse which creates a sense of open-mindedness among students and faculty. There is also A LOT of school spirit at sporting events which brings a sense of great pride for the school. The education is challenging and gives students the extra push that is needed to prepare for college. Peachtree Ridge provides constant, reliable resources to prepare students for college. A few different colleges visit the school every week.
However, it is difficult to feel safe at the school sometimes. There have been at least three different gun related incidents in the past few years. An incident last year led to almost half of the school population leaving in the middle of the day out of fear. Unfortunately, not much was even done to protect the students. Not even a soft lockdown. I hope for the school to work on improving their protections for the students.

Although many of the students at Peachtree Ridge moan and groan about the environment, the school itself has offered so many different social and educational opportunities. Yes, it is impossible to avoid classrooms with apathetic teachers, but I've also met my fair share of teachers who have been incredibly supportive of me and my education. I've learned so much about my identity through interactions with other students and I've been incredibly fortunate to meet new friends or further strengthen my existing relationships. I do question the administration's ability to maintain safety at times, but I also understand how difficult it can be to control such a large group of students.
