Paxon is preparing me for college. Yet, it can be stressful and overwhelming for students through out the process. Balancing school, clubs, and sports is not easy. Paxton teaches kids time management, patience, and hard work. Students who manage to balance their life out at Paxon are students who will be successful. Paxon prepares kids for college readiness, and the students there are one big family who help struggling students achieve success.
I enjoyed that our music department was very successful and represented our school in an outstanding matter. I also enjoyed the school spirit that the students had, even though our sports teams weren't the best the students still came out to games and dressed in themes. Our basketball team made it to states this year and our gymnasium was filled with students who do and do not attend the school.I also enjoyed how involved the staff was with the students. They were always making sure the students were okay and were involved with the clubs and activities going on with the students. Also, if something traumatic happened, (i.e. the death of a student or a mass shooting at another school), the faculty and staff would bring the students together to assure safety and let us know that if you needed to talk their doors were always open.
