I loved the emphasis on extracurricular activities here, during my time there a new track and a new performing arts center were installed. Students had great coaches and support with sports, so Paw Paw teams always succeeded! Paw Paw was a smaller school, so I got to know my classmate and teachers. Unfortunately, this smaller size limited the number of classes offered to me. The school did a great job combating this for higher achieving students offering honors English and history, advanced math, early college programs and a county wide technology center. There is something for everyone at Paw Paw High School!
Paw Paw High School is very rigorous in academic achievement. They are one of the best schools in the county if going into higher education is the goal. They prepare you for college and community readiness. A lot of changes have taken place since I have graduated, but one area of improvement is a need for more inclusivity for all races, genders, and economic standing.
I think what I enjoyed at most about going to Paw Paw High School was just the community. I had gone to Paw Paw schools my entire life and so the relationships that I formed were even stronger by high school. While there have been controversies on Paw Paw schools, as a student I had never seen bullying or things that have been said. Overall, I think that this is a good school for not only friendships but education.
