At first, I was the reluctant child that thought, "Why would I go here when all of my friends go to a different school?" But, once I got to know Paulding and all of the awesome people there, I realized that going to this school not only made me happy, but it also made me proud. There are so many clubs like wrestling, Chick-fil-a leadership, baseball, basketball, JV teams such as cheer and much, much more. The teachers are so down to earth and the worst thing that could possibly happen to you is receive ISS or detention for dress code--not really that bad. Our JROTC program--and yes, I'm braggin'-- is THE BEST JROTC program in the state of Georgia. All in all, Paulding County High School rocks!

The school has an amazing Magnet Academy program and several of the CTAE pathways or worth the time. Yet the school is underfunded and it is indicative in several electives and even some academic classes. The faculty is a mix of outstanding and horrible teachers. The hygiene of the school depends on how close to the office you are and how late in the day it is. The bathrooms in the 200 halls are concerning at best. The athletics are a hit or miss depending in the sport. A lot if emphasis in placed on football and cheer-leading with everything else falling from there. It is not based on dynasties or winning otherwise football would be at the bottom. The electives are average with some CTAE pathways having more attention than others. Overall it is a very average school, and only really worth it if you are attending the Magnet program at the school.
I graduated from Paulding County High School as a member of its STEM certified Magnet Program in May of 2019. As I'm currently enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology I can proudly say that my time here was well spent and successfully prepared me for my first semester here. The opportunities the magnet program presents allow us to stand out from other students around the county and the rigor of the AP classes matches that of my current freshmen level college courses. Although I can't speak of classes outside the magnet program, I can confidently say the magnet program is extremely beneficial for anyone seeking higher-level education after high school.
