My experience at Patterson high has been great overall! The staff is amazing and will talk to a student with an open mind. The teachers like to challenge their students academically and like to make us work with our peers. We have a variety of clubs at our school. Students can make their own clubs and join as many as they want. The staff encourage us to go to college but also tell us that it is okay if college isn't for you. Everything is overall great, but many students, including myself, can't feel safe at school. Also, the facilities need better sanitation.

My experience at Patterson high has been great overall! The staff is amazing and will talk to a student with an open mind. You end up becoming friends with everyone around you because the school is small. The teachers like to challenge their students academically and like to make us work with our peers. We have a variety of clubs at our school. Students can make their own clubs and join as many as they want. I am currently in 3, PHAST, cooking, and Math. Through clubs, I have made many new friends and have gotten many opportunities to help my school. The staff encourage us to go to college but also tell us that it is okay if college isn't for you. Everything is overall great, but many students, including myself, can't feel safe at school. Although there are many campus supervisors, as a young Hispanic girl, it can be very scary to walk alone around certain parts at school. I would like there to be more campus supervisors on campus for extra safety.
I love how all the teachers and staff truly care about the concerns of the students. Whenever I go to school I look forward to seeing all the familiar faces and being able to join a variety of different activities, such as choir and tennis, and have a satisfying and fun experience no matter what I decide to do! Because of school I was able to find a variety of communities that I could feel safe in, and I can only hope others can have as an amazing high school experience as I have had.
