It’s a small private Christian school in town. I enjoy the environment at the school, quiet and peaceful. But since it’s a small school, it doesn’t provide that many activities at school because the small population of the students.
Patten Academy of Christian Education is one of the most diverse private school in Oakland. I started my freshman year at patten as a international student and graduated from there. My experience there was eye opening, I met a lot of people who has changed my mind about how I view the world and also the teachers and faculty at that school are one of the nicest people. Every time I needed help with anything whether was school related or not, the faculty was one of the first to step up and provide the help I needed since my family members were out of the country. I will always be grateful for my time at this school. They also prepared me for college and taught me many things that I needed to succeed in life.
Patten is like a second home to me. The school is small, sure, but that allows for a tight-knit community. The teachers care about their students and will give them chances to better themselves academically and as people.
