Overall my experience in Patriot High School has been a positive one. The school does admirably with promoting academics through things like school clubs, office hours, peer tutoring, as well as other afterschool activities. Most of the teachers I have been exposed to these past two years have been extremely helpful and supportive to say the least not only with my academics but with me as a student. There have only been a few teachers who I have come across that I would say have not given me the best high school experience but I recognize that as a part of life and something I must work with. I wish there was more tolerance of diversity amongst the students though because I see a lot of hate against people who are LGBTQ+, disabled, or struggle with mental illnesses. Although my school promotes a safe and welcoming learning environment it does not always live up to that expectation.
Patriot High School is a happy and safe high school environment. While with covid-19 the spirit and overall vibe of the school has drastically changed, in recent events, teachers, staff, and administrators have gone to great lengths to regain the spirit lost over the last few years. This has included various student involved events, both during the school day and after. Many teachers have become more involved and closer to students, as well. This has created a comfortable bond amongst students and teachers, presenting a positive vibe all throughout the school.
At Patriot High School, majority of students experience a great educational experience. There are many teachers who do an excellent job at educating students, and many work with their students to ensure the best possible learning environment. Alongside the academic portion of the school is a fantastic athletic program, with many teams who excel during their seasons. The worst parts of the school, which is not truly a bad thing, is the school lunches. As an individual who purchases school lunches, I often am left deciding between bad or worse when it comes to food choices. That, unfortunately, has nothing to do with our lunch staff but with the quality of the food the county approves.
