PV is a pretty okay school depending on what you value. Academically, I have almost no complaints - although some teachers can seem like they have absolutely no idea what they're doing. There's a pretty decent variety of classes you can take, however I can think of some essential ones missing.
Academics aside, the rest of the school is meh. I think the culture can be pretty toxic. PV has scandal after scandal whether it involve white supremacy, rape, or whatever else. People who get involved with these things aren't punished at all. The school's not that diverse and is pretty much 90% white with a few Koreans and Latinx mixed in there. There are a lot of wealthy, sheltered, and privileged people.
I say as long as you surround yourself with the right people and make the most out of what the school has to offer, it'll be alright.

The guidance counselors are great
They make sure that you are tracking in the right direction. If you are on a sports team, I believe your experience at this school will be better then if you don't participate in a sport. As a football player, even though we aren't the strongest team, we are a united team with nice coaches. The class sizes are small enough so that you don't get lost amongst the other students. For a public school it is top notch!
Teachers at Pascack Valley High School are amazing at preparing their students for college. Not only are teachers always available and willing it help, the kindness and effort extends into other faculty such as guidance counselors. The college process can be tricky and tedious but with their help it makes it so much smoother. I think Pascack Valley can be a little healthier when it comes to food. Although it is a high school cafeteria the processed food and unhealthy snacks shouldn't be taken away but they should be limited. Pascack Valley does offer you to order salads and sandwiches so it's not all bad.
