Education wise all of my AP teachers were amazing and everyday was typically a good day since class time would always flow smoothly with their class plans. The cafeteria had some positive recent changes with the addition of a salad and fruit bar and the lunches improved in overall quality. Yet there was a lack of vegetarian options which was only salads. During the summer time it got very hot in most of the school except the 8th grade section of the building which is newer and is air conditioned. In the winter though the whole building was pretty warm. The counselors also provide as much assistance as they can and are very helpful and friendly. They try their best to push you to improve your SAT, ACT, and apply to as many scholarships as you can if you are willing to follow their advice.

Things I enjoyed about Parma High include the wide range of classes such as AP, honors, regular courses and electives (such as a variety of art, gym, social studies, and other courses). I also enjoyed that there were many different extracurricular activities, clubs and sports for after school.
I did not like the math program at all! The math program is called CPM (short for College Preparatory Math) and I can say it made math very un-enjoyable due to the "rules" where teachers could not assist students as students were forced to work in small "teams" to figure out how to solve a problem on their own, rather than just have the teacher help or guide students. Often, I would sit in math unsure and waste time while being very frustrated and upset... it was a big waste of time! The teams were awful as students would just socialize, mess around and not accomplish anything. A student like myself would usually be stuck doing all the work.
I love Parma Senior High. I am so glad I went to this high school. It is a very welcoming environment and worthwhile. There are opportunities that Parma has to offer, college visits, internships, jobs, clubs and activities. The administration are all very nice and genuine.
