Overall, I think it was a good school. Most of the teachers were good. Most of them taught the lessons well and they were nice. The school environment was good too. Most of the students were nice too. I had some friends that I liked to hang out with. I think there's a good community and I enjoyed my time at West.
Overall, I really enjoyed attending Parkway West High School because of the general atmosphere and wide variety of clubs and honors societies. However, I do think the college and career preparation could be better.
Overall very good school. Some teachers especially in the honors science department can be tricky. Very high test scores in comparison to other schools but diversity is lacking and it is a west county school so the kids are extremely spoiled sometimes.
Overall the school is a really well rounded athletic and academic school. The multiple different paths you can take in each department help to make the experience more enjoyable for each person who is there no matter what they want to do later in their life. The only improvements I would like to see are minor just little things with every program that could become better to create a better learning experience for all students.
I love Parkway West. It truly feels like home. We have a very strong community and everyone is proud to be a Longhorn.
I have attended PWHS for 4 years and I can say that I have learned a lot here. PWHS has a very friendly and helpful culture that passes on to each of its students. The academics and teaching staff are very good, but there are some issues that could be addressed about underfunding certain programs. Its diversity and inclusivity is one of the best in the city.
Parkway West High School is very hit-or-miss. I've made some of the best and worst memories here. Sure, there are your average high school cliques, but there's always something a little bit more emotional with Parkway West. That can be taken in both good and bad ways. I've cried tears of joy getting a good grade and I've kept myself up for hours on end to try and study for the continuous tests. Though the test comes from teachers and Parkway West has teachers that have actively changed my life. I have an incredible friendship with English teacher, Kaleb Schumer. We have our own Spotify playlist where we keep track of what Song Of The Day is. Kevin Doherty and Casey Holland are also amazing teachers and people, whom have definitely shaped me into who I am today. In all: no matter what clique you fall into and no matter what grade you get on that test, you're always gonna have someone who actively shows that they love and care for you.
Parkway West High has provided me with many opportunities. There are countless clubs and sports that you can join to meet new people and gain new experiences. The teachers will work will you and genuinely care about you. What I would change would be the parking lot. It is tough to get into school and you have to arrive 45 minutes early even to get a parking spot. West High should assign numbered spots to students who have gotten parking pass approved. Lastly, another thing I love about West is how the school is laid out. I have been easily able to find my classes because all subjects are grouped together with tons of signs leading you around the school.
I was able to find a diverse group of wonderful friends who welcomed me I got he district as a new student. I felt like my teachers genuinely cared about me and my well-being. I also felt as though the level of academic challenge at West was much greater than that of my previous school. I feel as though attending West prepared me well for college, both with what to expect academically as well as socially.
Hi, my name is Anna Malchanava,
My High School experience allowed for me to grow as a person and think about my future! Due to the amazing staff and teachers who I can call them friends at this point, helped me to push through and get involved! Parkway West High School offers a lot of opportunity's for anyone and everyone attending including getting involved in different clubs, sports, art and music programs. If it wasn't for the people I met and education I received, I wouldn't be where I'm at right now! I'm so excited to see where the future takes me and it's all thanks to the community that makes Parkway West High School the best!

I’m a junior at Parkway West High School in Ballwin, MO, and so far, it has been a great experience. The teachers at the school certainly push students to do their best. Not only that, but most of them try to help as much as they can within the course. While there are always going to be a few mishaps at each school, Parkway West does a great job at helping their students grow from every experience throughout their high school career. Even through a pandemic, the school has not stopped their pursuit of encouraging students to find their path in life. Whether it’s for high school or college, they want you to excel. The only issue I have had is not receiving enough info about college prep. However, I have used my own resources to figure this out. The school has great lunch services, fun elective courses, and a wonderful staff. Extracurriculars are great too; our sports teams are very competitive and clubs are always intriguing. Overall, Parkway West is a spectacular high school!
I had a fairly decent experience with Parkway West. I made many friends along the way and learned many important lessons from the experiences I have had there. It’s a great school with rigorous academics and an excellent reputation for sports, but I believe there is far too much competition between peers and not enough collaboration.
I graduated on 5/21/22.
My experience with this school has been phenomenal to say the least. Sure the building is older, and the parking lot can get congested, but the fact of the matter is that the knowledge and wisdom I gained in the classrooms is beyond worth it. I would 100% argue that this is the best public school in the St. Louis area with extremely compassionate and effective staff and a lively energetic student body that will cater to all of your children's needs. The location: 10/10. The amenities: 8/10 with reconstruction of the pool in the near future, this will easily be a 10. Thank you PWest!

Parkway West High has a lot of opportunities, courses, sports, and support! It's a great school to make the most out of your high school years!
I like the variety of clubs, though it was very difficult to keep track of what was still currently going on after the pandemic. The teachers are all very supportive, and academically it is a decent school to attend.
Activities and sports are very fun and inclusive ! Teachers and Faculty have high expectations for both students and staff. The principal, Dr. Mitchell, is very head on and proactive when issues are brought to him, and cares about ALL of his students including the minorities.
It’s good, there is a wide variety of people and lots of things to do around the school. I’m involved in many clubs and sports which is the best way to get involved. New students especially should join a sport or if they don’t want to then try a club to get to know people.
