While attending Parkway South I received a good education in a comfortable school environment. I was offered many opportunities such as different clubs, study groups, sports, and school spirit. The school was full of caring teachers and students always willing to help each other. I got a good grasp on all the material I was subject to learn, and when I struggled I was offered the help and assistance needed to understand the material. I felt safe and cared about while at school, never in fear for my safety or others safety. I felt comfortable at school and was never scared to speak or ask questions openly.

I believe that Parkway South High prepared me and most other students very well for college. There are classes offered for every level (both for those who need to be challenged and those who need extra assistance). Most teachers at this school are accredited and are well versed in their subject area. There are a ton of ways to get involved through sports and extracurriculars. One of the downsides I would say is the school culture. There are some drug and alcohol issues that are prevalent in the school amongst students. Although that can be pretty typical at any high school, it makes some groups of students uncomfortable and anxious. Yet, I know the administration tries their best to tackle those issues in the best way possible.
The staff at the school is amazing, there are opportunities to create strong relationships with your teachers, counselors, etc. In addition to this, there is such a large variety of extracurriculars the school provides; there is something there for anyone who wants to get involved. Academically, there are ranges of classes that have high standards, but also to help you if you're struggling. One negative about the school is that it can be found dirty frequently, the bathrooms especially.
