Administration doesn't care about anything unless it benefits Football/makes the school look better.Teachers are more concerned about students attending football games/float parties/shopping online/telling stories about pets rather than teaching class.Counselors are rude/act as if they don't have the time of day for your problems. The food is terrible/ molded/ not cooked all the way through.Administration cares more about students complying to the dress code rather than education.Athletes get away with horrible grades/doing drugs at school & instead focus on students who decide to walk into school with Sonic/headphones.They don't prevent bullying, the teachers participate. They’re very sexist, whether it is about sports or not. There's a rule that we can’t wear sweatshirts as a shirt, there must be shirts underneath. When checking, they only check the girls and ignore guys that have no shirts. With shorts, girls are sent home and guys have shorts that ride up or sag showing butt-cracks.

When I first started at Parkway High School, the atmosphere was really great. But over the years, Parkway has progressively gotten worse and worse. The school is sexist, especially when it comes to dress code and girl's athletics (remarks are mostly ever made towards girls about their shorts when guys have the same issues and the girl's teams got kicked out of the field house for walking around in their bras when the guys could walk around without shirts). The cafeteria food is disgusting, and one year, a friend of mine opened up his applesauce to find mold on the top. This year, they tried to fix their menu to make it more healthy, but they just made it worse. Some of the administration act like they don't know how to do their jobs and some are never available when students need them. There are favorites within the administration, and if you're a family friend, related, popular, or on a sports team, you can get away with anything.
Great school that offers plenty of extracurricular activities and learning programs. Parkway has a wonderful band program, that travels and competes in competitions all over Louisiana and Texas. They have also been invited to play at some festivals. They have a good sports department, they have football of course but also has lacrosse (which is not offered at all schools). There are various tutoring opportunities for standardized test such as the ACT test. Most of the teachers and staff are really helpful and care about the students. The campus looks really nice and the food is actually good in the cafeteria.
