I am a military child and I had just recently moved to Louisiana, while in transition my councilor didnt help me what so ever and most if not all of the administrators were very rude I was told I was not allowed to take a softball class(after playing softball for 3 years) and instead I was forced into taking college classes which took away my softball recruiter as well as a scholarship. It is also a very bias school and if you are not well known in the town then you are not treated as well as the other students by the faculty. Students being caught with drugs and teachers turning a blind eye because said student was a football player/family friend. Students have also been caught with guns, as well as other weapons, and no consequences have been given. There seems to be a fight at least twice a week at this school. Senior year is suppose to be the best year of your high school years and parkway has made mine the worst!

What I like about Parkway High School is the school spirit. All students come together to support our school in athletics, academics, etc. Also I like how our teachers and administrators push the student to do better in academics and get better scores every year. Most teachers along with administration are very involved with the students and help us in many ways. One thing I would like to change about Parkway is improving helping students prepare for college. At Parkway they offer classes such as ACT prep to help student get the score they need to get into college. But It would be very beneficial to have a class to help student with what to expect. Also how to apply for grants and scholarships as well as what the best plan is for them to take and courses for their career.
I transferred to Parkway from an out of state high school when my family moved to Louisiana, and I have honestly never had a better school experience. The mentors that I met, the friends that I made, and the skills that I learned will stay with me for the rest of my life!
