Parkway High School is a powerhouse school when it comes to sports but also when it comes to the band program. There is a culture of love and strong support amongst the student-body (including the athletes) and community alike for the 200+ person marching band known as the "Pride of Pantherland". The school pride and spirit thrives during football season as the majority of students adamantly support the team. There is also a strong academic department that pushes the students to succeed and to always put their school work before their other activities, even sports. The coaches at Parkway always remind the kids on their teams that they are a "STUDENT athlete" therefore they shouldn't just focus on their sports but their academics too and that their academics come before anything else.

Overall Parkway High School is a great school with academics being the priority. The teachers are well-adjusted and try to make sure everyone is doing the best they can by making real connections with their students. The athletics part of the school is excellent in the sense that we excel in majority of the sports we provide. Parkway's band is also exceptional and seems to win an award every other week. The students are well rounded and strive to be the best that can be in all aspects in life. The atmosphere is extremely warm and everyone wants everyone to succeed. I would encourage anyone to attend Parkway and have the wonderful experience I have had.
Parkway excels in quite a few areas such as athletics, ROTC, and fine arts, but it severely lacks in many others. The administration is heavily favoritized and is strict, oppressive, and condescending. It's the type of school where you hear about students in ISS due to uniform infractions more than ACTUAL offenses. The uniform policy is like the administration's favorite thing to yell at students about unless you're one of their favorites. If the administration likes you, you are basically guaranteed every honor the school can possibly give you. If you don't happen to have their favor, or if you aren't related to one of them, you could work harder than anyone else and not get any recognition. The school could really be an exceptional school if the administration didn't insist on treating every student like a criminal whose right's are up to the principal's sole discretion.
