I’ve been a member of the Parkview community since I was 3 years old. My mom graduated from Parkview 26 years ago and, as a family, we have always bled orange and blue.

My freshman year was a rough one, to say the least. I got a concussion a week before school started after falling backwards off an elliptical. I was unable to do schoolwork for almost six weeks. I worked my tail off, balancing schoolwork and cheerleading, and managed to do well first semester.
Second semester was much better academically, but after nine years of cheering for the Panthers, I was cut from the sport. To say I was devastated is an understatement.
My sophomore year, I decided I wasn’t going to let anything that happened as a freshman define me. I branched out and started playing Lacrosse and really found my passion in Musical Theater, where I have made some of my best friends in the world!
The thing I love about Parkview is the community! Everyone loves their Panthers - Go Big Orange!

I'm not just going to say the classic answer about Parkview High School: Diverse. Instead, I will say that Parkview is an extremely amazing school that provides extremely amazing opportunities from the 2019-2020 nationals-qualified academic decathlon team to the 2019-2020 final four varsity football team. Parkview has given me the chance to experience an amazing marching band, DECA chapter, student council, etc. all in my first semester of being a freshman. As far as the rigor of classes, I feel like Parkview doesn't have the best academics in the state, but they're great at placing students where they belong in order to succeed!
Parkview High School is truly a fascinating environment. There is an immense amount of opportunities and resources provided to the students. The sports programs at Parkview High School are highly competitive and most teams compete in State levels. Many Parkview Alumni play at D1 schools such as UGA Football. A wide range of courses is offered to students such as architecture, personal finance, food/nutrition, etc. Rigorous courses are provided to students who want to academically challenge themselves such as AP Computer Science, Georgia Tech level math courses, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus (BC and AB), AP Physics, etc. Most clubs at Parkview High are career-oriented, providing students with skills needed to succeed. Many Parkview Alumni have gotten into prestigious schools such as Cornell, Columbia, UCLA, NYU, Emory, Georgia Institue of Technology, etc. The future for many Parkview graduates is bright due to the strong foundations, courses, and resources that are provided by this school.
