My experience at Parkside High School definitely helped prepare me for college. The facility members highly encouraged each student to try to get involved with many activites/student organizations as they could while attending this school. Not only are sports important, but your education should be put first when it comes to your personal career goals. I learned that staying involved with Parkside High would create opportunities that would benefit me in the future.

Parkside High School is a very interesting and evolving school in Wicomico County. One of three other schools in the county, its not at the top, but nor is it at the bottom. It is an old school with a long legacy where many alumni are proud to be Parkside graduates. Those involved with the school are very generous and care for the students attending. Sports are great and the school holds many championships. It is overall a great School with an increasing staff and caring community around it.
If you are not in a sport at Parkside, or you are not a super teacher's pet at parkside, do not expect to be acknowledged. These people at Parkside are regarded as the only ones who actually matter. I could probably count the number of teachers on my two hands that actually care at Parkside, the others are only there to get their pay check and move on. It's like they're being forced to be there. There's a major presence of cliques at the school, and a singular good administrator. All of our amazing guidance counselors were uprooted and moved to a different school, our teachers who actually know how to teach, and that actually care, are dropping like flies. We do nothing to address bullying or harassment. Find your real friends, keep your head down, and pray you make it through.
