With my experience as a Parkrose High School student, I’d like to be very honest and not leave any stone unturned. There’s been ups & downs with all the drama but for the most part, Parkrose is a small community where mostly everybody gets along together and finds their niche of people to hangout with. It’s a very cost effective school with kind & supportive teachers and staff members! We might not have the best sports teams that win all of the time or the best ‘school food’, but Parkrose is definitely a school that will help you earn whatever that you need if you put in the hard work.
The people were very accepting and created a positive environment, which includes both the teachers and students. I met some of my closest friends within those walls and I can't thank it enough for that. One area that it could've been better was that, often times, they made some odd decisions. Weird places that they put money and resources, and would sometimes take time out of valuable learning time to have an assembly or some event that didn't do much for us academically.
The students here are rude to others whom have different views then them. One thing that needs to change is a class schedule, more breaks need to be installed. Going back to back to classes is exhausting because your brain can never decompress. This whole school makes me so stressed to where I felt like I needed to cut out my brain and poor cold water on it because it felt like it was constantly on fire, because of the environment that is instilled here. The only good thing they offer is the middle college program, but it is impossible for the middle college students to get in contact with administration.
