In the 4 years I have attended this school, I have met wonderful individuals here. The teachers listened and tended to my academic concerns as a student, always willing to listen to any kind of issue I had. My high school experience was not fully enjoyable since I was very ill and mentally depressed. I may have missed countless days due to these issues, but I will eternally reiterate the fact that there was always somebody in the school who would listen and tend to my needs to ensure my academic success. The teachers are definitely aware of what they were doing! Parkdale has a bad reputation for being violent and likened to the urban ghetto. I can confidently say that this is far from the truth. With it being one of the most diverse schools in the entirety of Prince George's County, Maryland -- I cannot complain; I am extremely fortunate to attend this school. I will definitely miss this school. Parkdale has prepared me to do whatever I can to pursue my career and help my family.

Parkdale High School was where I met many of my good friends. It was very diverse when I went there. Many of my friends came from many places such as Ghana, Jamaica, China, Haiti, and lots more! I learned a lot and I was prepared for college thanks to the International Baccalaureate program. I will never forgot my days at Parkdale High School as it made an impact on the starting of my college career.
Though it may appear to be a bad school, As long as you are focused, you can find staff members who are willing to help you achieve your dream. I've met many people that I hope to keep in contact with, post my graduation. From my very first day attending, I met many friendly people who encouraged me to become more involved with the school and more socially active. It allowed me to join the Upward Bound program, where I met many other people who became close to me and played a major influence on who I am today. Parkdale has allowed an increase in my tolerance for situations usually seen as drastic, allowing me to keep a leveled-head, if ever placed in similar situations hence forth. My overall experience at Parkdale Highschool has been impactful, and overall beneficial to my character.
