Park has struggled for years to bridge the gap between students and faculty. I avoid using the word staff as many teachers at Park High are inspiring and driven. Yet they are choked by a curriculum that doesn’t allow for true learning and limited hands on activities. As a Senior leaving this school, it saddens me to see how little improvements Park has made in four long years. We stand diverse as ever though, with inclusion groups of all sort. With the building being well over a century old (which creates problems of its own) an opioid epidemic of its own brewing and a limited freedom for campus roaming, all I can say is farewell park high school!

My experiences through being a student at Park has its ups and downs. The first two years of going there were great! We had Wolfpack hour which made getting work done really easy at first, or at least the first year of having it. Starting sophomore year there was a big change in people use of Wolfpack hour and it became less and less of a helpful thing because a lot of teacher I personally had were open at the same time and closed at the same time so I couldn’t see all the teachers I needed, which should have been fixed. Junior year is when I really started disliking Park. We got a new principal so all the rules changed and I don’t agree with some of her decisions because it seems like she doesn’t trust us and made high school more of a jail. As I am in my senior year I really hate being in school because of immaturity levels in underclassman, who are not taken care of in correct ways so they learn that they did wrong. And the staff really makes this school feel like a jail.
I really enjoy the school as a whole, the teachers are absolutely wonderful! They make my day just about every day. They are so easy to talk to. The only that that is a little rough is that now their rules are getting much more strict, considering the Florida issue. Although, I know for a fact that that will no happen to this school because the community around the school and in the school is very good and hardly ever have an issue with it.
