My oldest has attended Park Place since 3rd grade, after moving from another private school near by. I couldn't be more pleased. The current Head of School is extremely present and truly cares about the kids. I emailed regarding an issue and he made a phone call rather than responding via email. My issue was resolved and we ended the conversation on such a great note. My child is in all honors classes as well as sports. The addition of the new high school building was great and the new athletic facilities that are currently being started will also add to this already beautiful school. My youngest in is elementary and loves going to school! We had learning set backs and Park Place worked very hard to bring him up to his current level. I never worried if they were concerned or trying...he was never left behind. The elementary principal makes the kids feel like family!
I've attended this school for almost five years now. The most memorable parts of the experience have been the great friends I have made, along with a few good teachers to learn from. While the academics here aren't much more than average, a select few teachers are remarkable. Lately, the school has been improving in its athletic programs, especially football and basketball, which is great. The school doesn't prepare you very well for college, unfortunately. Students will be learning grammar throughout the entirety of their high school careers. I have several friends who attend different schools and stopped learning it in the ninth grade. The school isn't diverse at all. Fortunately, the school's community (especially the parents) is mostly nice and very involved. The school is doing alright for how long it's been around, but it's still rough around the edges. If you're going here for academics or sports, be aware that you'll be a part of a process of steady improvement.
I loved the family environment and the Christian education that made going to school here worth it. I do wish, though, that there were more opportunities as far as classes offered and extracurriculars.
