A lot of the teachers here cares very much about our education, they're very sweet and understanding and wants us to succeed. Some of them are actually very fun people to be around with too!
It's also quite a diverse school as well too, with a lot of students from all sorts of cultures from around the world, it's nice getting to know different cultures and nationalities in the school.

Park Center Senior High is your average high school that contains great teachers that put forth their effort to connect to their students. For example, Dr. Nelson, my freshman AP Human Geography teacher, is a very relatable teacher who connects his class with recent and modern events, allowing the students to thrive. The high school experience here at Park Center is similar to that at any other high school. Our girls basketball team won back to back state championships while I have attended with a great boys team who has made several runs towards state. However, there are still a few things that, in my opinion, can be improved. For example, the attitude of the students towards the teachers and administration can be drastically improved.
My experience at Park Center was not the best. I felt separation from my peers, I dreaded attending class, and the atmosphere there created a lack of motivation. I think to improve the atmosphere, and make kids want to learn and be excited to come to school, we need a more dedicated staff. We need teachers who are willing to give their all, and who don't quit on "problem students". A majority of students are low income, and as they get older they realize they simply don't have the money for college, which in turn leads them to stop trying completely. We need teachers to show them that college is still possible, or that even without college they can have a future. There is nothing I would like more than to see the graduation rates at my old high school rise.
