As a former staff member and parent of alum at other top independent schools in Dallas, I believe Parish is one of the best balanced schools in Dallas. The faculty & staff are well qualified and very supportive of students. They are also supportive of parents’ concerns. I really appreciated the encouraging atmosphere to work outside the box, balance academics, athletics, the arts and other interests. This school pushes students to find their passion and pursue it. Kindness & respect for others is encouraged and I’ve seen it in many occasions.

I went to parish my entire life and I couldn't be more grateful for the way the school served me. beyond its excellent academics, wonderful art program, and competitive athletics, it was the parish community that truly made my experience worthwhile. The Parish community is filled with passionate educators who genuinely want us, students, to succeed. We are able to build personal relationships with our teachers that allow us to feel as if we are responsible and value. The parish families are also all so close-knit. no one is alone.
The teachers are great. However, your child will need to either be willing to become mean spirited to fit in, or be willing to keep their head down and avoid the mean kids. The kids appear sweet and friendly to adults, but the social dynamics are very nasty and dangerous. If your child is able to manage that part of the equation, the educational opportunities are good. If they are not, look to another school.
