What I like most about Paris High School is the various clubs and sports that you can be involved in. I feel the more you are involved in at your school the less time you will have to get into trouble or turn to alcohol & drugs. The teachers are phenomenal, and are geared to helping everyone succeed. Administration and counselors are exceptional too and really want the best for all of the students. I also play soccer and we are ranked #1 in our district right now. Actually, all of our sports boys & girls have done very well. I have been to state many times with Robotics and Future Problem Solving. Our school is exceptional and I will always be a proud Wildcat!
I have had a lot of good teachers so far. However, what I wish they would change is their somewhat evident lack of emphasis on management of emotions in the hiring process. Some substitutes have had unreasonable strictness and anger issues. Some teachers have been subtly and indirectly racist, although I believe that a lot can’t really be done about these teachers. It is overall very good, however.
A Paris-ite. By a special definition, this word means: Someone who has moved from out of state or city to Paris, Texas. Bonus points if they transferred to Paris High School. By definition, I am a "Paris-ite." I'm not originally from Paris, but rather from the glittering lights of Los Angeles. You can only imagine the horror I felt when I found out I was moving from the city of stars to a one horse town. The halls were unfamiliar, and so were the faces, but little did I know that these faces, and these halls, would soon be what I call home. PHS, both the people and the school, welcomed me in with a warm and loving embrace, and never made me feel out of place. Now, I can't imagine my life any different. The teachers know how to grasp my attention and urge me to learn, and my fellow students bring me joy and laughter each and every day. I can truly say with confidence that Paris High School is one of the best learning environments I have ever been in.
