The ocean front location is beautiful! The school grounds are well maintained. The students are very friendly. The block schedule is absolutely amazing, gives us time to balance school and life. Great for our well-being!
Great resources but a deeply racist institution. From the administration to the culture to the students to the family. Incredibly conservative area, openly supportive of Trump. Many of the teachers are very inclusive and progressive and thus have created safe spaces for students. But otherwise really couldn’t recommend this school to students and families of color unless you’re fully prepared to experience that. Great resources obviously, as this school was built to uphold white elitism. More AP classes than really any other school in the country, great STEM, awesome extracurriculars. All of which, again, can’t be found at other more diverse schools unfortunately. Hope to see a school one day with the same great opportunities as PV that caters to a more diverse, inclusive community but honestly don’t know if I’ll ever see that in my lifetime. Don’t send your kids here.
Love the block schedule. Great course offerings and really fun, atmosphere for learning. Go Sea Kings!
