Honestly I found my time at Paloma to be some of the best in my entire school career. The teachers were majorly supportive and approachable, the material was laser-focused upon an efficient yet encapsulating and investing education that would entertain and enlighten. There were lots of opportunities for participation in not only the school environment such as ASB, NJROTC, etc. but also through services that contribute to the community as a whole. It is also extremely accepting of racial diversity, LGBT+, etc. there has been no discrimination that I am aware of, and overall the social atmosphere is generally positive and motivating in just the right way.
I love the sports here but the academics could do better. You can tell the teachers don't care as much as they should and they don't put too much effort into the material they are teaching. They are also kind of rude and difficult.
Paloma has helped guide me to a better future but definitely could use some improvements. There is the occasional fight at school, but they are usually broken up quickly.
Although Paloma has its problems overall it has teachers who truly care about their students. The community is always willing to help and there is little to no bullying or anything along those lines. It has many clubs and things to keep students involved.
The campus is old and not the best looking. There is a decent staff and many sports are offered here. The school is predominantly caucasian.
Over the past three years of going to Paloma Valley I've become a better student and person. I'm constantly surrounded by intelligence and success, which pushes me to excel in all aspects of my life. Our sports teams work hard and continue to get better each season which I am proud to be apart of. Academically, students have an abundance of access to improve their understanding of any difficult concepts. The teachers and guidance counselors work for the betterment of each student by dedicating time and energy to benefit us in any way. I enjoy my time here at Paloma Valley High School and I'm grateful to be apart of its student body.
In the three years I've attended Paloma Valley, there have not been any problems that stood out from the norm of any school. The administration has always shown how great of a role model they could be through their attempts to encourage students through any and all struggles. The teachers and staff are open-minded when it comes to listening to a student and it gives off a sense of community which helps foster the idea that no one is alone (something vital to include in a high school). Distance learning especially has taken a toll on many students too which makes the constant motivational speeches and the mental health check-ins that much more important as well. I wouldn't change anything about the school itself though because either way every year the standards will change and the people there will come and go which means the only people who can make it better are the young staff who plan to stay.
What I liked about Paloma Valley High School, was the friendly staff and advisors on campus that tried their best to make the school as friendly and safe as possible. The thing that could improve with this school may be the counseling. Often it is hard to get the counselor's attention, they may be busy people but the student's needs or questions are often disregarded.
I am currently a senior at Paloma Valley High School and I have enjoyed every moment. All four years at Paloma Valley High School have been great from the school activities to the connection's you make with your teacher's. Paloma Valley High School is very friendly and welcoming and I have made very many great memories at Paloma Valley High School. I have never felt unsafe at Paloma Valley High School or unwelcomed. Overall Paloma Valley High School is a very great High School to attend.
I think the there are many amazing teachers here and have made many good friends, but the scenery of the school can use some updating. The school looks a little bland and in turn I think it affects the school spirit.
Paloma lacks a few areas like safety, parent involvement, and the assistance when it comes to counselors especially. Although there is a diversity and variety and many people which is a positive factor that helps others feel like they belong. Academics is a main factor which they can definitely do better, and have better teachers.
Ive only been to Paloma so I really have no schools to compare it to. The teachers here are great and are always super interactive with their students. The curriculum here is also very good. I know that every time I go to school, that im going to learn something new. The students there are also very smart and respectful. If I were to change anything at the school would be to make it a little cleaner. And I know that us students play a big role as to why our school is a bit dirty sometimes. But if we all just worked together to keep the school clean, it would be a better environment for all of us. Overall, the staff is amazing. The students are well behaved. Everyone seems to get along there and that's what we've strived towards since kindergarten. The sports teams at our school are very good and have won quite a couple of CIF championships. Ive been asked if I wanted to change schools, and ive always said no because this school makes me happy, makes me feel safe and loved. Its home
My experience at Paloma Valley High School was really good. I was able to join a lot of clubs and join a sport. It was an awesome time for me I also liked being able to do hands on learning in my class and I thought that was really cool.I also liked all of my teachers throughout the 4 years. I also liked all of the extracurricular activities that were offered.
As a 2020 graduate from Paloma Valley High School I can say that my experience at that school was something that I will never forget in my lifetime. Everything at this school helps you to prepare for what is to come in your lifetime, whether that be college or any other line of work after high school. I can say that this school has definitely helped me get to where I want to be in my life.
I liked the sports programs for the women side were very good and some of the teachers really care. The calculus math teacher Mr. Lundstrom was one of the best math teachers I have ever had. He is very funny, and makes math more understandable and fun at the same time.
It's okay. Older school so some classrooms could use a revamp and new supplies. If you're not in avid they don't teach you or guide you about college very much.
What I liked about Paloma is that some of the teachers actually really cared about you. But what I would like to change there is better discipline on those who don’t do right. They also need to help those who are getting bullied instead of ignoring and blaming them. Paloma also needs a better teaching system and have teachers that are willing to teach you.
