I had an overall great experience as a student at Palmer High School! I attended as a freshman all the way until I was a senior. While some years had more effort put into school spirit than others, generally most of the students would actively participate in school events. On top of that, if there was a home game for sports, the stands would typically be filled with both alumni and students alike. I definitely found the culture and academics worthwhile for my needs.

I had a great experience at PHS- I would not have wanted to attend high school anywhere else. The school has a tight-knit community without any of the stereotypical cliques one might experience at other schools or see in movies. To speak beyond the social sphere, the education you will receive at PHS is world-class. They offer International Baccalaureate classes and many students choose to participate in them. PHS teachers and administrators are pillars in the surrounding community. Many students look up to them even after graduating from high school. You will develop a strong and supportive network if you choose to attend PHS.
Palmer High School is a great school in a medium-sized town of Palmer, Alaska. In my experience at the school, I have been involved in the IB program. Learning in the various IB classes offered here. I have learned many strong writing skills, as well as discovering the world of sciences and math through classes not offered anywhere else in the Valley. The school admin and security staff are very friendly and personable which makes for a comfortable environment to go to each day. The school culture is fun and the events made make for an enjoyable high school experience.
