The Palmdale Aerospace Academy is a great school. It allows students to use critical thinking in order to solve the problem or achieve their goal. Students learn a variety of different components in the engineering field as well as mathematics, the sciences, and electronics to name a few. The environment is safer than any other school and way less fights are seen. Although the majority is Hispanic, other ethnic groups attend. The school has excellent teachers and only lacks some extra classes in the arts. However, it does offer theatre, film and literature, Intro to Engineering Design(which is 3D design) and there are artistic clubs as well. Overall, it is a great school.
My experience at TPAA is one for the books. The people who go to Aerospace for the most part are all really good, cool people. Everyone is super friendly and making friends is pretty easy. Having a collaborative environment in mostly all classrooms helps every students get to know their fellow peers. We students at TPAA are super lucky to have a staff willing to participate in student activities and are all super nice and willing to help every student that walks through their door. I have so much love for every I have met at TPAA and will miss it dearly.
Here at our campus our teachers are fully willing to step in a become involved in offering every student the well rounded education the deserve. The kind and friendly staff help add to the collaborative environment we have built at our school. Education based the school is more engineering based but should consider branching into more areas, such as medical, in order to better suit their students. I am a student athlete, playing varsity girls volleyball and although our school is great educationally they need to provide more focus onto extracurricular other than our robotics teams. Our sports programs are continuing to grow even without the full acceptance of our school board. The teams have such diversity and they all bring so much, as students we hope our voice to heard and for changes to happen.
