Palm beach lakes was a very amazing high school it helped me to grow as a person and it gave me the tools I needed in life to pursue my dreams and goals . Because of its amazing choice programs they mold you to know the next step in the career you want to take I was apart of the medical academy and I’m so grateful for it because not only did I gain a great abundance of knowledge but I also left with great skills . I’m CPR,certified as an electrocardiogram Tech a certified medical administrative assistant at only 18 years old there are adults twice my age that haven’t achieved those goals .Palm beach lakes always made sure we were ready for every state taste that came our way . After school programs that has tutoring helped us. We may have not been the smartest school but we worked hard and we played hard so I felt as if I went to the best school in palm beach county Palm beach lakes was not just a high school but we were a family and I’ll always love to be a ram!

Besides being involved on the track team, Palm beach lakes social environment was cool. It was diverse, and everybody got involved in clubs and extracurricular activities. The safety around the school was at an all-time high and the facilities were clean. Administration was strict on rules however, they interacted with students beyond the "security". Palm Beach lakes High was strict on college readiness, the teachers put emphasis on academics, PREP tests, ACT/SAT and made it their priority to take us on college visits. I was involved and the president of the Johnson scholars program, which automatically gave us a 4 year scholarship for college once we graduated.
PBL is a very good school. My experience has been super positive. Both my parents work at the school, so pride for the school runs in my family. Like all schools, there are good things and not-so-good things, but the overall essence of Lakes is good. The teachers and staff members are caring. The faculty is concerned with each child meeting graduation requirements and making it to the next level...whatever that is for each student. For me, I plan to go on to a major university to major is medicine, all while playing basketball. I feel prepared for both!
