The Teachers and guidance counselors truly care for the students. Most give a 110% effort to ensure a successful future for the students. My teachers were not simply teachers to me but mentors and role models. I was extremely involved during my years there and made many great friendships. My guidance Counselor from the very beginning of freshman year up until senior year sat down and worked with me to figure out and sign me up for the appropriate courses I liked but also needed. My teachers were extremely kind and understanding, always trying to put there best foot forward. They are authentic, caring and genius individuals. They are the ones who ultimately made my high school experience so much better. Even if you don’t know all the teachers or students at Palmbay Magnet High, we are a huge family.

What I enjoyed about Palm Bay High was that the teachers were usually calm and understanding. The schools population was very diverse. It included people of all backgrounds and ethnicities, such as myself, a student of hispanic heritage. The sports teams do well in every field, and the coaches seem like they really care, and are actually involved in the coaching of the athletes. When it comes to school culture, we actually hold a multi-cultural fair every year, which ties back into what I said about us having good diversity. People can showcase food and information about the countries they are from. It’s one of my favorite parts of the year. Finally, the school feels semi-safe. What I mean to say is that there are countless fights, but they get broken up fairly quickly. But, when there was a school shooting threat in my junior year, there was no real plan in place. Me and the majority of students made our way out of class and into our parents vehicles as fast as we could.
Palm Bay Highschool offers great diversity in the Florida region. Having multiple people from all sorts of life allows for interesting topics and cultural diffusion. However, the safety of the school is subpar, anyone can bring stuff in. The school tries to offer college readiness programs and has recently changed their approach on how to prepare the kids at need. The mentorship program is nice but needs refining.

The front office has substantially been better from freshman year, counselors are no longer being rotated out the window. The administration is trying to get better, and rules are now being enforced.

Food is subpar, then again almost all school foods are.

Parent Involvement, in my opinion, is non-existent, they try, but parent's don't really come as they see no benefit to it. Unless there is a problem with their child.
