This school is fantastic for outgoing, social people. The sports and VAPA departments are very strong, and there are lots of opportunities for students to get involved in the student leadership community! It's big and by the ocean, which gives a very laid-back feel to the school. There is a large variety of classes that are offered, so you can find an elective that interests you very easily. The school is also great about providing students with opportunities to get students involved with extracurricular and college communities.

The school has many great academic classes. There are many great teachers in their Science department that students can take no matter their interest: computer science, physics, chemistry, environmental engineering, etc. There are also numerous history classes that can be taken. There are also many clubs/extracurriculars that can be taken that cover an array of interests: entertainment, academics, athletics, etc. The school could improve it's math department though. The mathematics courses, curriculum, and a few teachers could use much improvement. However, there are numerous resources students can utilize whenever they have an issue: such as the college center, student center, math lab, etc. While the school does appear to promote diversity, it needs to do a much better job of being actively anti-racist especially in this country's current climate. The school's administration also needs to do a better job of respecting its teachers and students.
I love Pali High. It is a big school, which is beneficial because you have the opportunity to make plenty of friends and be involved with many different friend groups. There are also always SO many activities going on every day, and you could basically participate in any sport you wanted or theatre group etc. There are hundreds of clubs, and it is VERY easy to make your own if you wanted! The teachers want what's best for you and prepare you very well to pass the class.
