Throughout my years in high school I am really glad I applied to Palisades High because it made me feel very empowered and determined to succeed. There are a lot of opportunities and clubs you can take part of in the campus. The teachers are very experienced and themselves where students at Pali. Not only are the teachers good but the food is amazing! The food at Pali has to be one of my favorite things about the school. Some of my favorite meals are pancakes w/strawberries and whip cream, alfredo pasta with bread, and buffalo wings with French fries. The school is near the beach and everyday afterschool me and my friends get to see the relaxing view of the beach. Pali is also very diverse and welcoming to international kids. There is also a small village with popular stores that many students enjoy like Starbucks, Subway, Ralphs, a café called Palisades Garden and many more. Not to mention I live about 10 miles away. Overall, I do not regret going to Palisades Charter High School.
This school is fantastic for outgoing, social people. The sports and VAPA departments are very strong, and there are lots of opportunities for students to get involved in the student leadership community! It's big and by the ocean, which gives a very laid-back feel to the school. There is a large variety of classes that are offered, so you can find an elective that interests you very easily. The school is also great about providing students with opportunities to get students involved with extracurricular and college communities.
I enjoy the big open campus of the school. I wish the school could improve on its administrators' involvement at the school. Even when they are walking across, they tend to not be the friendliest toward students. Besides that, the students are nice and friendly, always willing to help any lost parent locate a building. They sell the lunches for free. Camp life is bustling with students left to right. They do provide Bus Transportation, however, there is a fee usually of $250 a month.. The academic courses are rigorous with the homework load, but the classes themselves tend to be fun with enthusiastic teachers encouraging us to have mindful discussions. Pali has all types of students waving hi to you everywhere. Wrapping up my review, Palisades Charter High School is the perfect place for all teenagers to attend. There's bound to be a group of students whom your child would fit right in with.
