Paideia School Reviews
I attended The Paideia School from first grade to Senior year of High School. I was so immersed in the atmosphere there that I hardly knew what a special place it is until I left to go to college. The way of teaching and learning at Paideia is truly unlike any other school, and I attribute much of my success and happiness as a person to the lessons I learned there. Teachers treat students as equals, with respect, which creates an open environment for asking questions, being curious, and pursuing interest. Our classes were designed not to cram information into our memory banks to be regurgitated on multiple-choice exams, but rather were flexible, dynamic, multi-faceted, with hands-on activities or studies that engaged creative thinking. Attending the Paideia School was undoubtedly the greatest gift my parents could have provided me.
I came to Paideia in the fourth grade, and it has been a great experience ever since. The academics are very tough and I spend around 4 hours every night doing homework, and even more time on the weekends. I know this hard work is worth it because I know many graduates who have gone to amazing colleges, and I hope that I will too! I love the sense of community within the school and the yearly traditions are great. I really admire the headmaster for all the work that he has done to make the school what it is today.
Paideia provides an excellent environment for each student to determine their individuality, strengths and weaknesses and pursue their goals. I really have learn to appreciate the extent of Parent Involvement and the sense of community at Paideia.
