I would not trade the academic experience I had at Paideia for anything. As a college junior, I can confidently say that I received a better educated than most of my peers. Both students and professors tell me they are impressed by my knowledge and reasoning skills in and out of the classroom. I attribute these skills to my classical education.
Paideia's environment, however, has much room for improvement. Favoritism runs rampant, and I was told multiple times that I would be unable to maintain my Christian faith at a public university. I was discouraged constantly during my college search by Jenny Stowe, the guidance counselor. She did not approve of my college, and she let me know it. Additionally, many teachers also cross the line from teacher to parental figure and become over-involved in students' personal lives. Boundaries were often crossed with teachers prying into my personal life.
I did not enjoy Paideia's environment, but I wouldn't trade the education for a better one.

Being part of a school that upholds our family's core Christian beliefs is our #1 priority. The leadership and teachers are committed to teaching from a Christian worldview, modeling biblical principles, and encouraging our kids in their relationships with Christ. The small class sizes and excellent academics are an added bonus!
Paideia Academy is a classical school with godly teachers and staff. My children have attended for the past 4 years and I could not be more thankful for the faculty, staff, and community that Paideia has provided. Over the majority of our time at Paideia the school has been building a massive addition to house the growing number of students. Admittedly, during this time some classroom spaces have been rather cramped and unorthodox than you would find in a public school. The way the leadership and faculty have faced these challenges and still provided a rigorous education is a testament to their determination and capability. Growing pains can be difficult but the outcome is a great new space for growing classes. If you are looking for the newest gimmicks then look elsewhere. If you are looking for a place that encourages quality and true thinking - then Paideia should be on the top of your list.
